Matrix42, a leading European provider of enterprise service management and software asset management solutions, has acquired Viio Technologies ApS, a Danish SaaS management and procurement platform provider. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Viio enables organisations to optimise software spend and compliance through full visibility and control of their SaaS estate. Its platform combines data-driven technology with advisory services to help customers reduce costs, curb shadow IT, and improve licence management.
Viio serves a growing base of enterprise clients across Europe and has established itself as a trusted partner for SaaS optimisation. The acquisition strengthens Matrix42’s position in the Nordics and enhances its strategic focus on cloud services, SaaS cost optimisation, and integrated IT service management.
“In a time when investments in AI and automation are on everyone’s agenda, concrete cost savings are more needed than ever. With the Viio platform, our customers benefit from proven SaaS cost optimisation. I’m genuinely impressed by both the Viio team and their product, and I look forward to growing together as The European Choice in Service Management” said Niilo Fredrikson, CEO of Matrix42.
BDO provided financial and tax due diligence and SPA advisory services on the transaction, with Per Bech and Alexander Hatholt leading the financial workstream, and Arne Riis and Philip Hayberg Thomsen supporting on tax.
